Learn more about our extraordinary teams building inspiring projects in our Impact Report.  Project Overview: The Project includes the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of 3 new bucket-wheel reclaimers including associated structural, mechanical, electrical and communications services. The Project also includes the design and construction of associated off-board scope including bulk earthworks, civil infrastructure, structural works and electrical upgrades to support the functionally safe operation of the new reclaimers. Job Summary: In this role, you will work collaboratively with engineering, construction and project controls across Civil and Structural disciplines to oversee the scoping, sequencing, and creation of Work Packages for the Project. You will help facilitate planning discussions, constraint management, readiness reviews and other planning activities as part of the Project’s Advanced Work Packaging process. You will report to the Work Package Coordinator or Project Field Engineer. Positional is available as either a FIFO or Perth based role (with regular site trips).   Major Responsibilities: Overseeing and participating in the scoping, sequencing and creation of Work Packages. Maintaining Work Package data in Bechtel’s database systems and updating as required. Providing support in creation and updating of the Level 3 / 4 schedule, 90-day work front analysis, and 3-week lookahead. Attending progress meetings and maintaining effective interface with Bechtel, Client and Sub-contractor stakeholders to ensure Work Packages and Advance Work Packaging efforts are effectively delivered on the Project. Coordinating with project controls team, planners, other stakeholder of the project and ensure Work Packages are issued in a timely manner and as per the project priorities. Working with resident engineering, superintendents and field engineers to facilitate planning discussions for each construction work area across the Civil and Structural disciplines. Coordinating with procurement and engineering to allocate bulk materials, equipment, drawings and data to respective Work Packages. Validating Work Package sequencing aligns with construction execution, testing and startup priorities. Coordinating Sub-contractor inputs and Work Package development and review proposed Work Package. Education and Experience Requirements: Required bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience​   Required Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of construction activities and execution of site works. Effective communications skills crucial to presenting plans in a clear and concise manner. Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and technical database applications.
