Learn more about our extraordinary teams building inspiring projects in our Impact Report.  After more than 35 years operating as a successful uranium mine, the Ranger Project is entering its rehabilitation stage. Bechtel will be working alongside ERA and major stakeholder Rio Tinto to restore the land to the status of its surrounding World Heritage listed Kakadu National Park. A collaborative project, this project will be developed in consultation with the Mirarr Traditional Owners and will benefit the Jabiru community. Located 8 km east of Jabiru and 260 km south-east of Darwin, the Ranger Project will lead the way in the fast-growing area of mining closures.  Interested to learn more? Subcontract formation includes leading preparation and review of bid request packages and developing project contracts operating procedures. Subcontract administration includes continual progress review, forecasting, and communication of difficulties. Your work will ensure subcontract compliance with project requirements. Major Responsibilities: Contract Management Implements the Supply Chain Assignment Schedule which records the Project’s agreed assignment of various contract management tasks and the Standard Work Process Procedures applicable to contract Management Manages assigned contracts maintaining a continual review of progress and providing management with information regarding projected financial or technical difficulties  Coordinates with designated staff on operational activities affecting contractual rights and obligations, contract performance, and other major matters  Manage moderately complex contract changes by negotiating with customer personnel and obtaining settlement  Contract Formation  Conforms and ensures contract execution  Directs negotiation in the commitment of contracts  Develops and issues contracts and services agreements as assigned  Prepares bidders’ lists and pre-qualifies bidders  Forms bid request packages and issues bid request packages to approved bidders  Coordinates bidders’ questions and answers to those questions  Receives bids and evaluates bids commercially  Prepares Commercial Bid Summary and recommendations  Recommends and secures approvals in accordance with established procedures  Prepares contract documents for execution  Prepares and organizes assigned meetings, such as pre-bid, bid clarification and pre-award meetings, for the purpose of ensuring complete understanding and agreement between Bechtel, the customer and contractor on all contractual matters  After reviewing plan and agenda with supervisor, conducts meeting and prepares and issues meeting notes delineating important statements, required actions and schedules  Education and Experience Requirements: Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience Required Knowledge and Skills: Experience in formation activities, award of large, moderately complex construction contracts and services contracts. Demonstrated skills in working and communicating effectively with all levels of project functional groups.  Experience in a wide range of contract types and associated pricing arrangements. Experience in change management procedures pertaining to Requests for Information (RFIs), change notices, change orders, amendments, and claims and dispute resolution.
