Bechtel renewables and clean power team is performing the project management, engineering, procurement, and construction for a multiple utility-scale wind and solar projects across Australia. In this role, you will be responsible for cost, estimating, analysis and other project control activities for projects with significant non-routine requirements or for cost activities which require a high degree of technical skill. You will prepare cost studies, review cost trends, and develop and implement project requirements for cost control. Your detailed analysis will provide innovative solutions to cost engineering challenges.  "This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership” Major Responsibilities: Performs routine cost estimating, analysis, and control activities, as directed. Supports the implementation of cost monitoring and control standards, techniques, systems, and reports. Assists with budget allocation and reporting/cost control for specific construction discipline or group of disciplines. Prepares cost data for proposals or contracts. Coordinates the development and accuracy of cost reports. Verifies consistency with previous reports to ensure compatibility and consistency. Prepares specific budgets in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures. Collects and classifies cost data. Performs budget allocation and reporting/cost control regime for specific construction discipline or group of disciplines. Prepares cost studies using historical data, statistical analysis, and cost and quantity comparisons. Education and Experience Requirements: Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Minimum of 2 - 3 years of project controls experience. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel. Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing cost engineering functions, which include cost estimating, cost control, cost analysis and financial reporting. Skilled in oral and written communication. Previous wind industry experience preferred. Experience in other areas of project controls (planning, scheduling, estimating, etc.) desirable. Intermediate level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes.
