Job Summary: Bechtel is seeking a skilled communications manager to join our Bechtel Manufacturing & Technology global business unit. This full-time, permanent position will be based in Reston, Virginia. The successful candidate will develop and implement a comprehensive internal communications strategy for a distributed, global workforce. This position reports to the Global Communications Lead for Bechtel M&T as a member of the Corporate Affairs function. Major Responsibilities: Develops and implements strategic internal communications plans to sustain the craft professional and field professional staff workforce. Advises project managers and leadership on internal communications strategies and best practices. Drafts and disseminates internal articles, emails, and posts to internal channels such as SharePoint. Creates compelling content to highlight employees and teams throughout the company, enhancing internal branding and employee engagement. Monitors social media sites such as LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and Indeed for emerging employee issues and adjusts communications plans accordingly. Writes industry award nominations and other recognition materials. Assists in the organization and execution of town hall-style employee meetings and other internal events. Develops presentations and collateral materials for internal meetings and events. Education and Experience Requirements: Requires bachelor's degree from an accredited university and 5-10 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience. Required Knowledge and Skills: Excellent writing skills, including the ability to meet with a variety of stakeholders and rephrase their technical information into easy-to-understand narratives. Good interpersonal skills within a close team environment. Experience with PowerPoint and creative design software (i.e. Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
