Learn more about our extraordinary teams building inspiring projects in our Impact Report.  Job Summary: In this role, you will provide technical guidance to promote consistency across projects, customers, and business lines.  You will provide detailed review and support to capital cost estimates, cash flow, working capital assessments, and to the preparation of estimate documentation. Your recommendations ensure accurate cost estimations and will be essential in driving project profitability and success.    Major Responsibilities: Direct Disciplines & Distributions  Provide technical expertise and leadership in the review of design scope criteria and quantity development for undefined scope assumptions in coordination with other stakeholders/departments. Supports/reviews prediction/extrapolation of cost curves based on experience of scheduled activities and cost correlation analysis in area of responsibility. Provides guidance in pricing nonmanual costs and associated ODC’s. Has a deep understanding of international pricing of non-manuals and associated ex-pat costs. Provides technical guidance to area of responsibility to promote consistency in approach and outcomes across projects, customers, and business lines; provides and leads discipline specific detailed support to capital cost estimates, cash flow, and working capital assessments; reviews and supports the preparation of estimate basis and assumption documentation in area of responsibility. Supports complex/conducts basic conceptual/order of magnitude (OOM) estimates in area of responsibility. Leads cost studies, trend estimates, and life cycle cost estimates in specialized areas or in specialized discipline area; provides area of responsibility-specific guidance and direct support in establishing pricing structures to be applied to quantities for estimates. Education and Experience Requirements: Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13  years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience Required Knowledge and Skills: ↵ Demonstrated advanced understanding of Estimating core processes and procedures. Extensive knowledge and experience in EPC, EPCM & Lump Sum estimating practices and methods, including demonstrated ability to organize, direct, perform, review and present cost estimating products with a minimum of supervision. In-depth knowledge of project schedules and ability to anticipate/extrapolate costs curves based on experience of scheduled activities/cost correlation analysis. Thorough understanding of cost index and escalation projections. Proficient to expert in the use of technology for executing work processes. Proficient to expert in Microsoft and scheduling software applications currently being used by Bechtel (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Primavera, Microsoft Project) and basic knowledge of general estimating systems currently being used by Bechtel (BETK, EPIC, HCSS, Candy, etc.) Working Rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required.
