Learn more about our extraordinary teams building inspiring projects in our Impact Report.  As a Program Manager you will be responsible for the management of assigned studies and projects, either by directing project/study managers or by performing project functions. Serving in a consulting and advisory role as requested on other departments and special projects, you will provide counsel, guidance and assistants in the areas of engineering, procurement, and construction technology. You will be accountable for managing and developing client stakeholder relationships to satisfy the customer while adhering to Bechtel’s vision, values and commitments. As part of the wider Western Australian leadership team, you will support the WA strategy by further defining customer requirements, in developing win plans, execution plans and providing input to enhance commercial arrangements whilst ensuring our customer expectations are exceeded during execution.   Major Responsibilities: Accountable for assigned studies and projects. Directs assigned project/study managers, including: arranging for engineering, procurement, cost engineering, and other services from other BechteI units; directing field activities; maintaining client relations; controlling schedules and budgets; and participating in contract and subcontract negotiations. Participates In the planning, staffing, scheduling and budgeting of projects and reviews and approves recommendations submitted by the project/resident managers in these areas. Monitors the progress of projects with respect to schedules, budgets and client satisfaction, directing project/resident managers in the solution of major problems, taking appropriate corrective action when required. Makes periodic visits to the field in this regard. Supports the business development effort of the organization when requested; by providing technical expertise in discussions with prospective clients and by contributing Information required for the preparation of proposals. Keeps abreast of business opportunities on assigned projects, and actively participates in developing these opportunities. Other responsibilities as designated. Education and Experience Requirements: Tertiary qualified in Engineering / Project Management and/or have equivalent experience in delivering large complex projects to the mining industry. Experience working in the WA mining industry will be of significant benefit. Required Knowledge and Skills: A leadership style that satisfies customers and ensures efficient project delivery on-time and within budgetary constraints in a collegiate manner. Demonstrate a track record of successful delivering major capital projects. Demonstrated experience in bringing together and leading a team to deliver successful outcomes, including the ability to coach and mentor team members within a complex and diverse organisation.   An excellent communicator with the ability to develop great relationships to influence and negotiate the best project outcomes.
