ERA has engaged the global engineering firm, Bechtel, to support ERA as Delivery Partner for ongoing study work. Bechtel will be working alongside ERA and major stakeholder Rio Tinto to restore the land to the status of its surrounding World Heritage listed Kakadu National Park. A collaborative project, this project will be developed in consultation with the Mirarr Traditional Owners and will benefit the Jabiru community. As Field Contracts Specialist, you will participate in contract formation and/or administration. Contract formation includes leading preparation and review of bid request packages and developing project contracts operating procedures. Contract administration includes continual progress review, forecasting, and communication of difficulties. Your work will ensure subcontract compliance with project requirements. This is a FIFO role working 2:1 roster based in Jabiru, NT. Major Responsibilities: Develops and issues contracts and purchase orders as assigned by performing the following: Responsibilities include the formation and award of large, moderately complex contracts. Conforms and ensures contract execution. Directs negotiation in the commitment of contracts. Assists when instructed in the planning, staffing, work hour calculations, budgeting, and subcontract procedures preparation. Develops and issues contracts and services agreements as assigned. Prepares bidders’ lists and pre-qualifies bidders. Other responsibilities as designated. Education and Experience Requirements: Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-10 years of relevant experience or 9-14 years of relevant work experience. Broad experience in the formation, negotiation and award of all types of contracts. Experience administering moderately complex construction industry (sub)contracts. Extensive knowledge and experience in contract administration required.  Experience awarding and/or administering commercial agreements in the Northern Territory is an asset. #LI-JC1 Required Knowledge and Skills: Able to represent Bechtel in contract negotiations. Working knowledge of change management procedures pertaining to Requests for Information (RFIs), change notices, change orders, amendments, and claims and dispute resolution.
