RRI pursues strategic initiatives that shape the regulatory framework to achieve ASIC's mandate and implements law reform initiatives. The team leads and delivers end to end process to effectively implement law reform projects, including ASIC operationalising law reform.  This includes both managing large law reform projects and supporting law reform projects being led by other teams.  This team is also responsible for maintaining ASIC's stock of Regulatory Guides and legislative instruments (class orders), and leading or supporting the development of new regulatory guides and legislative instruments (as needed).   As a Senior Adviser/Lawyer, you will: Lead and influence regulatory policy and law reform initiatives to support ASIC's strategic objectives. Engage with Treasury, industry stakeholders, and regulatory bodies on policy and legislative changes. Manage the end-to-end implementation of law reform projects, ensuring clear and effective execution. Provide expert technical advice on complex legal and regulatory issues to internal and external stakeholders. Use data and regulatory intelligence to inform evidence-based decision-making and drive policy outcomes.   You have a relevant tertiary qualification and strong expertise in regulatory policy, law reform, and financial sector regulation. Your experience includes advising on complex legal and policy matters, analysing legislative changes, and providing clear, practical recommendations. You have worked in legal, policy, or regulatory environments where you have managed law reform initiatives, engaged with government stakeholders, and drafted high-quality legal and policy documents. Your ability to interpret and apply legislation, and develop well-reasoned policy responses is critical to success in this role. In addition to your technical expertise, you bring exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. You thrive in a collaborative environment, building strong relationships across government, industry, and internal teams.
