Overview Client Development Manager: North of England; York, Yorkshire, Humberside and sourroundings. (Catering Consultant/Account Manager) The Role and Team Client Development Manager (CDM) is the face of apetito and is crucial to the success of apetito customer partnerships. This is an Account Manager style role to enhance our proposition through bringing to life our 'Passion for Service' value supporting existing and new customers with a clear view of keeping customers longer and enabling us to grow faster. As well as deliver on our 'Passion for Service', you'll be pivotal to the retention of business and securing long term partnerships with your customer base of 30-40 accounts. You will need to allocate customers based on revenue and growth opportunity into differing service tiers from email, phone, online and in person service to ensure effective use of time and delivery of opportunities. This role is suited to a self-starter, (after a thorough induction) you'll manage your own diary and need to allocate your time wisely, ensuring customer service levels and relationships are sustained as well as delivering on growth opportunities. Experience in a Catering Consultant or Account Manager role would be ideal foundations to build on. You need to be happy working independently to achieve your objectives whilst also being a team player who contributes in a team environment to deliver shared objectives. Although this is a remote role, you will frequently work with other colleagues from within the team, a cohesive team culture is really important to us. This role is based from home with 3-4 days per week in your region with customers and some overnight travel will be required. About us apetito is the UK's leading food supplier to the health and social care sectors serving more than 600 care homes, 500 hospitals, as well as 200 education settings. Our meals are expertly crafted by our dieticians and chefs, and then frozen to lock in the goodness. For over 25 years our sister company Wiltshire Farm Foods has been cooking and delivering over 300 different delicious frozen meals to our customer's homes. Responsibilities Retention - Value Retention is the key challenge of the CDM role. The targets set are to achieve 95% Account&Value retention on existing accounts. Retention - Volume We aim for zero avoidable home losses (stopping trading with apetito) Business Development We look for our CDM's to idenitfy opportunities for our KAM's to be able to open new partnerships with care suppliers Customer Satisfaction CDM's are targeted to achieve a score or 90% customer satisfaction. The CDM would typically manage a portfolio of around 40 customers with a key focus on budget control, delivering training needs, product presentations and dispute resolution. The role will also be expected to promote apetito throughout the Care Homes marketplace through extensive networking. About you Essential: Proven experience of achieving and exceeding targets from an Account Management perspective. Experience delivering training Consultative, Solutions-led Sales experience (rather than a hard product sell.) Strong Commercial accumen - be able to justify a business-case. Objections handling focused around financial issues. Good O Levels / GCSEs to support a high standard of business communication skills and numerical analysis. Desirable: Catering experience Experience of food/nutritional/technical standards Experience of the Care sector Customer Service experience A Levels/First Degree Intermediate/Advanced Food Hygiene Training Clean/virtually clean driving license Personal Qualities: We are looking for a self-motivated individual with proven organisational and training skills. Whilst a significant amount of their time will involve working alone you must be a team player who is happy to work within the team to meet joint objectives. Typically no more than 1/night per week Role will include a significant amount of regional travel depending on location. Lives or willing to relocate within reasonable distance of the region As this role involves working with elderly and vulnerable customers, it is exempt from The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and requires an Standard DBS Disclosure. #CVL
