Electrical Systems Fitters - Military and Defence Sector - Southampton Area Permanent Role - Attractive + Shift Allowance and Paid Overtime Multiple Electrical Systems Fitters are required for an international Defence and Weapons Systems Company that is expanding their team. Hybrid and flexible working arrangements are available for these positions. The Electrical Systems Fitters will be part of the Electrical Fitting Team and will report to an Electrical Fitting Team Leader. The Electrical Systems Fitters will be involved in the Fitting, Maintenance and Testing of Electrical Systems and Equipment on a Military Platform. A good salary and very good company benefits are on offer here for the right people and you will be working alongside 40 electrical fitters&30 apprentices within a supportive and dynamic team Key Duties and Responsibilities for the Electrical Systems Fitters Reading/Interpreting Electrical Drawing and Guidance Technical information. Carrying out Electrical Testing on 12v, 24v, 110v, 240v&440v systems. Executing various crimping and soldering techniques. Carrying out electrical installation, maintenance and defect rectification in accordance with the project schedules to meet customer quality expectations. Installation, testing and maintenance of communications equipment such as VHF radios, Intercom, GPS and AIS. Conduct fault diagnosis and defect rectification procedures. Carrying out detailed electrical systems inspections. Be fully conversant in the use of all electrical and technical measuring equipment's. Use calibrating measurement electrical systems equipment as required. Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required for the Electrical Systems Fitters Must have completed an appropriate trade apprenticeship or naval equivalent qualification. Good understanding of safe systems of work including electrical work. Able to and knowledge of working in confined spaces&working at height. Marine or offshore experience with a understanding of electrical systems is an advantage. There is the potential for national and international travel in line with the role demands.
