Vision for Education are seeking to appoint a Classroom Cover Supervisor to join our successful supply teaching team to work in secondary schools across Plymouth. About the role As a Cover Supervisor, you will assist and support in Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4 classes in the absence of the teacher. You will deliver pre-set work for a variety of subjects to ensure there is a consistent continuation of education for pupils. The successful candidate must have experience working with children and will have the ability to be flexible and adaptable in their role. The role of a Cover Supervisor does not require Qualified Teacher Status; it is ideal for those looking to go into teaching as it is a perfect opportunity to have an insight to working in schools and gain invaluable experience. Requirements To be considered for the role of Cover Supervisor you will: Hold a degree qualification. Have experience working with young people in some capacity e.g. coaching. Have a passion for working with children and young people. Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills. Be a good communicator, with both colleagues and young people. Be confident and have a positive approach that engages students in their learning. Have a flexible approach to work; be able to use your initiative and think on your feet.
