Job Title: Contracts Manager– Fire Stopping Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Location: Peterborough (with travel to sites across Midlands and London) Salary: From £45,000 per year + Company Vehicle (Salary based on experience and qualifications, open to discussion) Overview: We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our Fire Stopping department. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of fire stopping contracts, leading a multi-site team, and managing all aspects of fire safety compliance and installation. If you have 3+ years of experience in the fire stopping industry and a strong background in contract management, this is an exciting opportunity to step into a dynamic, autonomous, field-based management position. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day management of fire stopping contracts, ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations. Complete Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and maintain safety documentation. Stay current with health and safety legislation, implementing necessary updates into daily operations. Plan and coordinate workloads, ensuring materials and labor are available at all times on-site. Install and inspect Fire Stopping to ensureadherence to safety standards and manufacturers' specifications. Maintain strong communication with clients and internal teams, ensuring all information is conveyed effectively. Conduct site surveys and client meetings across the Midlands and London, requiring regular travel. Maintain your CPD (Continuous Professional Development), with opportunities for further training and accreditation in management and fire safety. Requirements: NVQ Level 3 in Fire Stopping or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the fire stopping industry. Strong organisational and time managementskills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. FIRAS/Qmark experience is a plus, but not essential. Clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. Proficiency in managing administrative tasks efficiently, including documentation and compliance.
