As part of ourcontinued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Catering Assistant to join our close-knit team at Reddish Hall School, part of Acorn Education. About the role The purpose of this job is to assist the Kitchen Manager to prepare and serve school meals. There is also an element of interaction with students to encourage a happy and healthy school lunchtime. This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English. Responsibilities  Assist with the preparation, cooking, and serving meals, considering and special dietary needs To assist with the clearing up and cleaning of the kitchen equipment, kitchen area and dining hall Food preparation, cooking and service to pupils and staff Ensure all health&safety and food hygiene regulations are maintained within the kitchen environment  Ensuring a good standard of cleanliness is maintained  Ensuring adequate food supplies  Reporting problems raised, any cancellations or extra meals needed and maintaining records To assist in the lunchtime supervision of pupils to ensure that service of food is completed on time in a safe and hygienic setting Report behaviour observations to a teacher for them to maintain the school’s standard of discipline and behaviour  Qualifications Required Relevant Catering and Hospitality qualifications - i.e., City&Guilds or NVQ qualifications  Food Safety Certificate level 2 About The School Reddish Hall is an independent SEMH school situated in Stockport, meeting the needs of students with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
