What will I be doing?Principle Responsibilities: • Maintain the safe operation of the main industrial steam boilers and all steam plant and equipment in accordance with site procedure and regulations. • Treatment of trade effluent in accordance with site procedure and regulations. • Operation and control of theelectro plating swill water-recycling plants. • Testing and lab analysis of treated effluent. • Sampling of surface and process water. • Safely isolate steam&condensate, gas, compressed air and water.• Diagnose faults on mechanical services. • Servicing of mechanical services. • Tooling and equipment inspections. • Health and Safety General Planned Inspections (GPI). • Stock control. • Spill response and to be chemically aware. • Basic administrative duties. What do I need to succeed in the role? Technical Competencies required: • Knowledge of plant maintenance and servicing requirements. • BOAS trained desirable but training can be provided. • Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental issues relating to plant maintenance. • Forklift truck operation desirable but training can be provided. • Analytical skills. • Continuous improvement. • Confident using Microsoft Office software, including Excel and Outlook. • First aid trained desirable. • Excellent Communicator. • Knowledge problem solving techniques.
