About the job
As the EMEA Credit& Collections Manager, you will be at the forefront of our financial strategy, overseeing a diverse team and managing key relationships with third-party partners. Your role will be pivotal in creating, maintaining, and monitoring credit policies, controls, and procedures for the EMEA region. Furthermore you will create innovative strategies and develop transformation and BPO initiatives in line with our future finance direction, including the integration of new digital tools. You will set ambitious targets and lead collections performance through coaching, advice, and direct involvement.
Your team
You will directly manage and oversee a small team consisting of European Credit Professionals and the Credit& Collections Team at Canon Europe NV on behalf of the HQ organisation. Additionally, you will have a dotted line management responsibility for the Credit& Collections Managers based in the sales organisations across EMEA. Furthermore, you will be manage our third-party Credit and Collections partner, Accenture, ensuring they meet service level agreements (SLAs) and adhere to Canon's policies and procedures.
Your Key Responsibilities
Policy Management:Develop and enforce credit policies, ensuring compliance and minimizing bad debts.
Target Setting:Collaborate with senior financial leaders to set and monitor collection targets for€7 billion receivables.
Strategic Leadership:Design and implement end-to-end credit management and collections strategies.
Partnership Management:Optimize relationships with third-party partners, ensuring adherence to SLAs.
Innovation:Drive change and transformation initiatives, incorporating AI and machine learning to enhance creditworthiness predictions.
Team Leadership:Manage and coach a team of credit professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
