Role: Credit Control Manager
Salary: Up to£40,000
Location: Rochdale – Office-based (not hybrid)
Start Date: ASAP
We’re seeking an accomplished Credit Control Manager to take the reins of a fast-paced credit function within an ambitious, growth-focused business.
This position is all about developing slick Credit processes across departments to ensure the cash cycle from deal done to money in bank is as efficient as possible.
We need a detail-oriented professional who has a passion for driving process improvements whilst also being open to collaboration with teams across the organisation all to maximise cash flow to support growth.
This role is ideal for someone with strong systems expertise who thrives on leading teams, building partnerships, and making a tangible impact on business operations.

The Role
Key Responsibilities:
* Take full ownership of the credit control process, ensuring efficient collectionsand maintaining strong customer relationships.
* Monitor outstanding balances and proactively address overdue payments.
* Set and review customer credit limits and payment terms, ensuring they align with company policies.
* Identify opportunities to optimise systems and processes, introducing improvements that enhance efficiency.
* Collaborate with IT and finance teams to integrate credit systems with broader business functions.
* Partner with sales teams to ensure credit policies align with commercial goals and provide insights on credit risks.
* Lead and develop the creditcontrol team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
* Support non-finance stakeholders by improving their understanding of credit-related procedures.
The Person
This position is well-suited to an experienced credit control professional ready to step into a leadership role.
You’ll need to be highly organised, proactive, and skilled at managing complex systems and processes.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
* A strong background in credit control, including at least two years’ experience in a management/team leader role
* Solid knowledge of credit risk, collections procedures, and financial controls.
* Demonstrable experience improving systems and driving process change.
* Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
* Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a data-ledapproach to decision-making.
* Proven leadership ability, with a track record of coaching and developing a high-performing team
