Engineering Area Lead My job We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Area Lead to join our team at our site located in Southall, West London. In your role you will support the PSM in delivering the maintenance strategy, working closely with the Engineering Lead to ensure that the site plant and equipment is available, reliable and meets all business requirements utilising the site CMMS and the group maintenance strategy to deliver a world class maintenance engineering department. Our ideal candidate will lead by example and drive a culture of continuous improvement, motivate engineering team to deliver sustainable reliability of equipment through proactive maintenance. Taking ownership of the department whilst on shift, maintaining systems essential to the operation of an efficient engineering department you will also: The successful candidate must hold a qualification of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. You must be an excellent fault finder and have strong mechanical skills with a good working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and PLC’s. You will be expected to accurately record all maintenance work using our computerised maintenance system so strong computer skills are a must. The role is crucial to the efficient running of the site and therefore you will be required to demonstrate excellent communication skills when liaising with internal departments and external contractors and have a flexible and proactive approach to ensure the overall need of the business are met. Ideally you will have direct experience of working with food processing and packaging equipment, however familiarisation training on this specialist equipment can be provided for the right candidate.
