Location of Work: 361 Sawmill Road, Ear Falls, Ontario, P0V 1T0 Title of Position: Production Lead Hand (NOC 92014) Language: English Vacancies: 1 Type of Position: Permanent, full time Unionized position: Yes Job Duties: · Supervise each workstation / machine center during the absence of the supervisor. · Ensure that employees can complete their tasks safely. · Assist production technicians and operators with the attention to the machine center / workstation when requested. · Help with the efficiency of covering breaks at different machine centers / workstations. · Data entries in production tracking systems such as B3, etc. · Recording of downtime in the absence of the supervisor. · Safety reporting in the absence of the supervisor. · Assisting with training production technicians on new machine centers / workstations, and ensuring the proper documentation is kept. · Follow up with maintenance personnel on the corrective or preventative maintenance of machines in the absence of the supervisor. · Any other related tasks. Skills Required: · Be able to work well in a team. · Be independent and full of initiative. · Show vigilance and a concern for health and safety. Experience Required: · Several years of prior experience at a sawmill would be an asset. · Formal company training for a Production Lead Hand and on-the-job training are provided. Education Required: · Completion of secondary school.
