Location of Work: 315 Highway 17, White River, ON, P0M3G0 Title of Position: Crane Operator (NOC 94120) Language: English Vacancies: 1 Type of Position: Permanent, full time Unionized: Yes Job Duties: Crane Operator will be working at Sawmill Department. · Using crane by remote, half stacks are to be strapped and loaded onto kiln carts to be dried. · Circle check equipment daily before shift. Ensure all equipment is operationally functioning. Report any problems immediately to Supervisor. · Attach identifying labels to front and side of each bundle. · Spray paint dimension of each bundle on front. · Make sure area is free of tripping hazards and that tracks are clean and free of debris in your area. · Strap each stack with green strapping to prevent pieces from falling off. · Ensure there is adequate strapping and cants in your area, and replace when empty. · Ensure tools and equipment are in safe and good working order. · Assist in jams to help minimize downtime. · Housekeeping. · All PPE must be used at all times including safety vest. · Carts must be oiled daily and ones in need of repair removed from service. Please advise your Supervisor of these carts.
