Learn more about our extraordinary teams building inspiring projects in our Impact Report.  Job Summary: As Controls System Engineer, you will provide project field engineering specialization and expertise with work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and subcontract coordination. Your recommendations will ensure field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements.  You must be able to work night shift and day shift when the business need arises (note – this role is primarily assigned to night shift). Major Responsibilities: Evaluates, selects, and applies standard Control Systems engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria, using independent judgment in making adaptations and modifications​.  Participates in the design, development and modification of mechanical components and processes utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs).​  Coordinates work and collaborates with other engineering disciplines​.  Coordinates Control Systems engineering efforts in assigned areas with specialty groups, engineering disciplines, the client, vendor, contractors, construction and other functional groups​.  Prepares conceptual studies, designs, reports, or proposals. Other responsibilities as designated. Education and Experience Requirements: Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience Required Knowledge and Skills: Must demonstrate understanding and working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards. Familiarity with Bechtel Standard Applications (BSAPs), including Setroute, TEAMWorks, Aconex, DSCS, Unifier, Agile, Navisworks, and Universal Plant Viewer is preferred.  Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Working Rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required.
