As an Analyst, you will play a key role in overseeing some of Australia's largest corporate transactions. Working closely with capital market practitioners, you will review fundraisings and merger and acquisitions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, contributing to fair, transparent, and well-regulated markets.
$123,444 - $144,386 (plus 15.4% superannuation)

The team
ASIC's Markets Group is responsible for ensuring investors have the trust and confidence to invest in Australia's financial markets and ensuring all Market participants, infrastructure providers and gatekeepers operate with integrity, resilience, and transparency. This is done by managing the end-to-end process for regulating markets including supervision, triage, investigation, and enforcement. The Markets Group also provides regulatory advice, considers applications and engages with stakeholders pertaining to the regulation of markets.
The Corporate Finance team is responsible for the oversight of all public corporate finance transactions including Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) and Merger and Acquisitions (M&A), related applications for relief, legislative instruments and policy reform.
The role
As an Analyst, you will:
Review IPOs, takeovers, and mergers to ensure accurate and meaningful disclosure for investors.
Assess and provide advice on corporate finance relief applications under the Corporations Act.
Contribute to ASIC's regulatory responses, including disclosure stop orders and takeover panel applications.
Assist in developing regulatory policy, conducting research, and consulting with industry stakeholders.
Supervise and mentor team members while driving process improvements and compliance initiatives.
About you
With a minimum of 5 years' experience in corporate finance, investment banking, accounting, or related disciplines, you have a proven track record of providing specialist advice and analysis in these fields. Your experience in fundraising, mergers and acquisitions, corporate advisory, or related disciplines enable you to critically analyse regulatory, commercial and financial issues and provide well-reasoned recommendations. Exposure to the mining and resources industry will be looked upon favourably.
Beyond your technical skills, you are a strategic thinker and strong communicator who can engage with stakeholders at all levels. You have excellent problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and the ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced regulatory environment. Your ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues makes you an asset to any team.
