Job Description
Aqua-Tech Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Water Utilities Administrator to join our client's well-established and progressive team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in water utilities, with hands-on experience in material investigations, proficiency in Excel, and excellent communication skills (phone and email). Experience with Live Hire is highly desirable.
As a Water Utilities Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and assisting Purchasing with daily administrative task, conducting technical material investigations, and providing timely support and solutions to internal teams and customers. This role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure smooth operations, effective problem-solving, and data analysis for better decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
* Material Investigations: Conduct in-depth investigations into materials used in water utilities, identifying potential issues, and working to resolve them effectively.
* Technical Expertise: Provide technical advice and support to teams regarding water utility systems and materials, offering solutions to complex challenges.
* Data Management: Utilize Excel to analyse data, update several trackers including Live Hire Reporting, ensuring all relevant information is accurate and up to date.
* Communication: Handle incoming queries via phone and email, providing timely and clear responses to customers, contractors, and internal teams.
* Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of water utility services and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications&Skills:
* Experience in Water Utilities: Proven experience working within the water utilities sector.
* Technical Material Knowledge: Hands-on experience investigating, analyzing, and managing materials used in water utility infrastructure.
* Proficiency in Excel: Strong Excel skills, including the ability to create reports, track data, and analyse trends.
* Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, and reports.
* Live Hire Experience (Highly Desirable): Familiarity with Live Hire procedures.
* Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail in technical investigations, reporting, and data management.
* Team Player: A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Certifications: Relevant certifications in water utilities ideal but not essential
* Experience in Investigations: Experience with investigating and resolving Purchase Order
