Supply Chain Coordinator Our client is a fast-paced FMCG business with an established global customer base and a portfolio of high-quality products they are incredibly passionate about. The business has continued to grow and to assist with that growth they are looking to recruit a Supply Chain Coordinator to strengthen their team. In this role you’ll be pivotal in ensuring the product moves from the supplier base to the customer in the most efficient manner. On a day-to-day basis, you’ll be liaising with both customers and suppliers and inputting data to ensure the accounts run smoothly with minimal disruptions. You’ll be booking vessels, transport and loads with third party providers and providing delivery updates to give total visibility. An awareness of freight forwarding would be advantageous, as you’ll be chasing relevant paperwork and documents to facilitate customs clearance but if you have very strong administration skills, the business can train and mentor you to get you up to speed. Attention to detail is critical, checking codes to reduce any port delays and keep excess charges down to a minimum, whilst being aware of external influences, such as strikes or weather for example that could further delay the product. You’ll also be processing invoices, checking the quantities are correct and approving them for payment. If you’re familiar with SAP, this would enable you to hit the ground the running. The wider business may also require information from you which may be stock reports, account balances or ad hoc information and being highly organised and deadline driven will be crucial to your success.
