Driver Hire Southampton is currently recruiting for a reliable and experienced Class 1 Driver. In this role, you'll be responsible for transporting timber products to various locations, ensuring deliveries are made efficiently, safely, and on time. About the Role: Contract Length: 6-month contract with potential for a permanent position based on performance. Working Hours: Monday to Friday (no weekends). Flexibility to work between 1-5 days per week, depending on client needs. Key Responsibilities: Transporting timber products to locations across the South Coast and Midlands. Driving a Class 1 curtainsider. Collecting timber from docks or timber production warehouses. Deliveries where goods are forklifted off at the destination. Ensuring safe and timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of service. What We're Looking For: Full UK Class 1 (C E) driving licence. Valid CPC and Digi Tacho card. Minimum 1-year experience driving a Class 1 vehicle. Previous experience in timber transport or similar roles is beneficial. Experience with strapping and securing loads.
