Role Installing and subsequent removal of sound equipment in performance venues. Welcoming visiting companies, assisting with their technical rehearsals, rigging specials and programming where required. Assisting in daily turnarounds between shows. Operating shows as required. Keeping full record of all information pertaining to sound requirements for shows, including turnaround notes, cue sheets and any other paperwork required. Ensuring that all backstage facilities and equipment are maintained to the highest standard. Ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to by visiting companies and report any issues to management. Person Specification Experience of working as a sound technician in a professional environment. Good knowledge of theatrical sound technology including rigging, patching, focussing and programming of digital sound desks, preferably on Midas or Yamaha desks. Good working knowledge of health and safety in a theatrical environment. Excellent problem solving skills. Comfortable working at height.
