Do you want to be the leader of a NEW 2-bed service for learning disabilities, autism and other complex needs in the Blackwood area for a well-known National Provider of Adult care services? I am recruiting a CARING and PASSIONATE Registered Manager to oversee a NEW 2 - bed learning disabilities service for adults located in Bargoed supports adults aged between 18 - 65. The service is looking for experienced leader who have experienced either as a Deputy Manager looking for a step up or a current Service Manager within a adults learning disabilities service and looking for a new challenge. Service Managers work alongside the Area Manager and the Senior Leadership team, enabling the Support teams to deliver quality service to the people they support. Service Managers are also responsible for managing and building positive relationships with all stakeholders and putting our vision and values into action to deliver first-class service. **Unfortunately we are unable to offer sponsorship for these positions** Salary:£27,000 - £28,000 Hours: Full-Time (Monday to Friday) Contract: Permanent Shifts: 37.5 hours a week Location: Bargoed Benefits of the Service Manager: 28 days annual leave (20 days leave + 8 days bank holidays), rising up to 38 days depending on length of service. Access to Blue Light Card savings As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for the following: Provide strong leadership and direction to the team, ensuring the delivery of person-centred care. Oversee all aspects of the operation of the home including staffing, compliance and health and safety. Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents and their families Promote a culture of dignity, respect, and empowerment, ensuring that each resident is treated with compassion, empathy, and understanding. Conduct regular reviews of resident's needs and develop comprehensive care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Keep abreast of developments in care practices, legislation, and regulations, and ensure that the home operates in compliance with all relevant standards and guidelines. Requirements for the Service Manager: NVQ Level 4 or Diploma in Health and Social Care Management Proven experience in a deputy or managerial role within a learning disabilities care setting, with a strong understanding of the complexities and challenges associated with complex needs. Excellent leadership and communication skills Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices governing mental health care. A compassionate and person-centered approach to care. Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities. Experience with care management systems and Microsoft Office suite.
