Job title: Senior Buyer Location/remote: Congleton/Hybrid (2-3 days in the office) Hours: 36.25 per week/Flexible hours available Contract length: 4 month, possible extension Pay rate: Inside IR35 Randstad Enterprise, a international RPO&MSP Recruitment Services has an exciting opportunity for a temporary Senior Buyer to join a one of clients based in Congleton who have been at the heart of British manufacturing for over 50 years Their culture and focus is on continuous improvement with sustainability being key to how they implement and measure productivity As the Senior buyer, you will be responsible for the supply of materials based on customer requirements at the lowest price whilst ensuring quality and on-time delivery. The main tasks will be, but not limited to: * Implement Commodity strategies to ensure long-term, cost-efficient supply of materials * RFQ (request for quote) setup, sending, and cross-functional quotation evaluation including the facilitation of technical evaluation of obtained offers. * Implement and ensure usage of globally defined methods, processes and systems to * ensure high process efficiency and process compliance (e.g. compliant Purchase-to-Pay * Monitor the markets worldwide to create a basis for deciding the optimum sourcing * strategy and cooperate with the best suppliers * Supplier management-mainly UK based * Define and implement Procurement strategies (which are not covered by Commodity strategies) based on conducted demand, market and supplier analysis to ensure long- term, cost-efficient and reliable on-time supply of materials in the required quality Your Qualifications and Skills * Experience working in a similar position within engineering/automotive (2nd or 3rd tier supplier) * Prepare and conduct negotiations for medium to high Purchasing Volumes * Exceptional relationship development skills at all levels, with proven track record in successful negotiations and relationship management (internal&external) * Strong ownership, attention to details and well organised * Previous experience with SAP with be beneficial but not essential * Interest in moving to sustainability targets * Driven to deliver strategic goals * Must hold a clean drivers licence RSR supports applications from a diverse talent pool.
