Member churches of the Diocese of St Andrews, Dunkeld & Dunblane, and the Fife Presbytery of the Church of Scotland, are seeking to appoint a Pilgrim Pastor to encourage ecumenical engagement with the Fife Pilgrim Way route and to support links between pilgrim walkers and cyclists and local church congregations across Fife. Under the second phase of a ground-breaking initiative, this part-time post (20 hours/week for 1 year) will build on the progress made since the launch of the Pastorate in 2022, with potential funding for a further extended period. This appointment reflects the Declarations between the Scottish Episcopal Church, the Church of Scotland and the Roman Catholic Church, and it also has strong connections with the work of pilgrim pastors in the Lutheran Churches of northern Europe.
