Job Description

As an Environment Activities Instructor, you will be part of our Schools and Activities instruction teams, delivering a range of activities to our guests. You will also support the development of new environment activities and maintain the activity equipment and infrastructure. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES To support the Lead Environmental Instructor in the delivery and development of the Environmental Education and activities offered by the centre To continue to develop the Environmental Programmes offered by Lendrick Muir Look after guests during school residentials, including some evening work Participate fully in the life and ministry of the Lendrick Muir Centre and the wider Scripture Union Scotland organisation WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR We are seeking applicants who have a passion for outdoor activities and a desire to combine their faith and interest in the environment to work with children and young people. Applicants for this post should have experience of working with children and young people in a guest  environment, ideally in instruction activities, and hold two NGB Awards ( as well as a current first aid certificate).  A full UK Driving License is essential (preferably with D1 + E). For this post, it is important that you are committed to SU Scotland’s ethos, working principles and vision and are able to demonstrate this through your commitment and motivation. It is also an Occupational Requirement (Equality Act – part 1, schedule 9), that the post-holder is a committed Christian. The successful applicant will be required to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Scheme and the appointment will be subject to a satisfactory PVG Scheme Disclosure. Location: Lendrick Muir, Kinross Contract: Full time/Substantive Salary: £17,391 – £18,313 (depending upon experience) plus accommodation (which carries a notional value of £5,110 for pension purposes).
