During this 2-year scheme, starting September 2025, you will undergo 4, 6-month rotations within either the Industrial Metrology Group or our Machine Tool Product Division. You will work only on real projects, within active teams working on New Product development and Current Product development and support. You will gain knowledge and experience of a wide range of technical, manufacturing, commercial and business processes. These may include: Product Specialist: Develop extensive knowledge of Renishaw-developed hardware and software products and solutions, ensuring a deep understanding of their features and functionalities to effectively support customer integration. Application Engineering: Review customer requirements and select the best solution, ensuring that all proposed applications align with customer needs and technical specifications. Test and Development of New or Improved Products: Create tests to ensure product functionality is correctly validated before release. Product Support: Respond to customer requests for technical support, providing timely and effective assistance to resolve issues related to product use and functionality. Sales and Marketing Activities: Develop demonstrations for customers and exhibitions, showcasing product capabilities and features to effectively communicate value propositions during presentations. What career opportunities are available? Application Engineers develop a wide range of knowledge that enables them to become versatile team members in a variety of roles. For example graduates have gone on to work as Applications Engineer's (up to a Senior level), Product/Marketing/Customer Support Engineers, Product Owner and Applications Team Lead. This role is based out of one of our main sites near Wotton-under-Edge in Gloucestershire. Since our Renishaw sites are located in semi-rural areas, applicants should ensure they have reliable means of transport to reach the site, as public transportation options may be limited. Alternatively, applicants should be willing to relocate to the local area. What do I need? We’re looking for passionate engineers expecting a 2:1 or above (or equivalent) in a relevant STEM discipline. Training and development is excellent so candidates with no experience but a keen interest in engineering will be strongly considered.
