Job Description
As a Quantity Surveyor with an Electrical bias or Electrical&Instrumentation experience, you will play a crucial role in managing all costs relating to our engineering and construction projects from the initial calculations to the final figures. You will ensure that our projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards. Experience with NEC contracts is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client.
* Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work.
* Assist in establishing a client's requirements and undertake feasibility studies.
* Perform risk, value management, and cost control.
* Advise on a procurement strategy.
* Identify, analyze, and develop responses to commercial risks.
* Prepare and analyze costings for tenders.
* Allocate work to subcontractors.
* Provide advice on contractual claims.
* Analyze outcomes and write detailed progress reports.
* Value completed work and arrange payments.
* Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use.
* Understand the implications of health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with an Electrical bias or Electrical&Instrumentation experience.
* Comprehensive understanding and experience with NEC contracts.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
* Professional membership (RICS or equivalent) is
