As such we are hiring for a Quantity Surveyor to specialise within the Decarbonisation sector:   On our Projects within the Decarbonisation Sector, we assume role of the Main Contractor, meaning we have control ofall elements of the build;   Civils,  Construction,  Building Fabric,  Solar,   M&E, etc.  We are a Market leader in the design and integration of commercial scale decarbonisation solutions for the public and private sectors throughout the UK and Ireland.  We are recognised as the contractor of choice, with a large portfolio of successfully delivered projects nationwide.   Significant growth expected as the uptake and integration of decarbonisation increases in line with 2030 and 2050 carbon reduction targets. We are a team led by our values -   Client Focus Teamwork Respect Integrity Progressive Trust  When you join our team, you have genuine career opportunities to grow with us on projects built from solid client relationships with a strong support network throughout the company.    Job Title  | Quantity Surveyor (Decarbonisation) Location  | Mallusk Office Hours   | 38hrs per week; 8.00am to 5pm Mon to Thurs, 8.00am to 3pm Friday Salary  | Competitive depending on experience Responsible to  | Head of Commercial    Key Responsibilities Be responsible for securing the successful financial delivery of projects by controlling costs, progressing monthly valuations, and managing variations and change orders.  Liaising with contracts, estimating and pre-construction teams to obtain full understanding of each project scope.  Possess awareness of different forms of contract - to ensure the company remains protected throughout a Project.   Review&collate subcontractor package awards.  Engage Sub-contractors, handle negotiations, prepare sub-contract documents.   Track&maintain monthly job performance reporting and feedback the same to QS Lead; Data Centre.    Prepare on-time monthly valuations following site measurements and work-in-progress reviews and follow up to make sure that payments are received on time as per the agreed contract conditions.  Vette and process monthly subcontractor payments.  Undertake at least one monthly site visit and report progress back to management.   Attend monthly commercial meetings to provide update on any ongoing contract specific negotiations and overall job performance.  Assist in the commercial activities of the business and provide support/advice in this regard to the Projects Managers as required. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Third level qualification in a Surveying or Cost Engineering discipline or can demonstrate an equivalent level of experience.  Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar Commercial role.  Commercially astute and ambitious.  Strong knowledge of different Forms of Contract; such as JCT, NEC&FIDEC.  High standard of organisational and time management skills.  High level of IT literacy, especially in Microsoft Packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).  Excellent written and verbal communication&negotiation skills.  Excellent attention to detail.  Excellent client engagement skills.  Current UK Driving License.   Benefits Full in-house training and career development opportunities.
