PSHE Teacher
We are working closely with a Secondary School in Milton Keynes to recruit a PSHE (Life Skills) Teacher to join from February Half Term (24/02/2025).
Location: Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire
Start date: 24/02/2025
Contract: Temporary contract full-time from February - April in the first instance, possibly longer
Pay: £143-211 (MPS1 - UPS1 for Qualified Teachers), paid as a daily rate equivalent through us then salary directly offered with school if taken on permanently
We are specifically looking for PSHE Teacher (aka Life Skills) to fill a temporary teaching contract including planning and marking responsibilities. The role would seek applicants with prior experience teaching PSHE or Life Skills to at least Key Stage 3 level. They are open to applicants from Qualified Teachers or Instructors.
As a PSHE Teacher, you can expect to deliver sensitive topics such as, health and wellbeing, living in the wider world and relationships, including statutory Relationship and Sex Education and Health Education.
Could this be you? Do you demonstrate:
PGCE Qualification OR MA Education, Level 5+ Education and Training Certification
Excellent knowledge of Life Skills syllabus would be desirable
Great ability to build relationships and deliver
A 'can do' and positive attitude to inspire pupils
An ability to motivate and inspire, whilstusing your own initiative
Passion for teaching the next generation Life Skills
Willingness to learn and support others
Patient and friendly attitude
High levels of resilience and emotional intelligence.
Responsibilities will include:
Planning PSHE/Life Skills lessons to suit the individual needs of the students and group
Ability to teach PSHE up to Key Stage 3
Set assignments, mark and assess students' work
