Job Title: Production Supervisor (Temporary to Permanent)  Location: Tonbridge, Kent   Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience) (hourly rate equates to between £15.38 - £17.95 per hour doe)   Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday   About Us: Our client is a leading UK-based tea merchant specialising in the sourcing, blending, and packaging of high-quality teas. They are passionate about their craft and they are committed to delivering exceptional products to their customers.   Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our production process, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.   Key Responsibilities: Supervise and motivate a small team of production staff, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to schedule. Monitor and maintain production schedules to meet customer demands and optimise production output. Ensure the smooth and safe operation of all production equipment. Maintain accurate production records and report on key performance indicators (KPIs). Conduct regular qualitychecks on all finished products to ensure they meet our high standards. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations (COSHH). Manage stock levels and ensure the warehouse remains fully functional. Order and manage raw materials and packaging supplies. Assist with the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety and hygiene regulations. Essential Skills&Experience: Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within a food manufacturing environment. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Excellent organisational and time-management skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. A proactive and problem-solving approach to work. Valid Flexi or Pivot Truck licence. COSHH qualified. Desirable Skills&Experience: Experience working with tea or other food products.
