Job Title: Production Manager Salary:£40,000- £50,000 per annum dependent upon experience Location: Saffron Walden, Essex An opportunity has become available to join an approved Part 145 MRO as a Production Manager at their site just outside of Saffron Walden, Essex. The company specialises in developing new repairs for aircraft components via Part 21J design and has a full range of C- ratings as well as a CAA BCAR approved aerospace welding workshop. They provide component repairs to a wide range of aircraft operators including Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, ATR and Bombardier. The company offers solutions on reliability problems,reducing delays, lowering operator and FHA providers stock holding requirements, associated administration and costs. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the role of the Production Manager is to co-ordinate production of the company’s workshops in order to achieve agreed Safety, Quality and production targets in line with the company’s global objectives. Plan and maintain systems and procedures for operating efficiency and to communicate effectively up and down the chain with employees, team leaders, managers for optimum performance and maximum productivity. To drive, implement, and showimprovements using real time data and to support employees’ growth and training. This is a permanent position working Monday- Friday, 8.00am- 4.30pm. The post holder would be expected on site full time, there is no hybrid working available with this role. Main Responsibilities: - Communicate daily with team leaders, employees, and support functions to ensure all safety, quality and production targets are met and meet our customer requirements, Internal and on wing. - Set objectives for the team in line with the company’s global objectives and manage performance and all aspect of HR inline with company policy to meet the required targets. - To support development of the tiered meetings and visual management with the workshop manager. - Manage all AOG requirement with support functions. - Plan all production work and set a controlled standard to meet our Daily/Weekly and Monthly targets. - WIP review, look ahead for targets and deadlines, reallocate spares as necessary. - Meet with purchasing on weekly basis and action points raised from meeting. - Feedback system issues to Process Improvement Co-ordinator. - Develop and drive projects to increase efficiency and maintain growth, projects are to be agreed with workshop manager and show real time improvement with data. - Formulate and drive department/ unit policies and practices under your control. - Facilitate the preparation and analysis of reports for review with the workshop manager. - To support development of a lean culture within the business.
