Salary: 38,000 per annum What you’ll be doing: Support the creation of standardised financial control metrics and reporting tools Provide delegation of authority process assurance validations, and governance reporting Conduct fraud risk analysis investigations and support related reporting Facilitate the completion of control owner assessments and progression of issues raised Support the implementation of business continuity management and assurance validations Assist with demonstrating compliance to the information and document management Policy Contribute to process improvement activities, including controls mapping and data analytics Develop generic process maps and enhance reporting capabilities Your skills and experiences: Part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or actively working towards qualification Experience in a finance role with a good understanding of governance, risk, and controls in a financial context Solid understanding of financial accounting principles and accounting processes, including accounts payable, payroll, and purchasing Proficient in using Excel for reporting, alongside data analysis, interpretation, and visualisation Comfortable working with digital technologies to support financial reporting and analysis Benefits: As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts – you may also be eligible for an annual incentive. The Governance Operations Team: This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring finance professional looking to progress their career. Working within the UK and International Governance Capability Centre, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the Governance Operations Team in creating and refining standardised financial controls and reporting metrics.
