About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Family Engagement Lead to join a vibrant and inclusive educational setting. Key Responsibilities: Parent/Carer Engagement: Develop and lead a school-wide engagement strategy to strengthen collaboration and participation in students' learning. Support and Advocacy: Plan and facilitate activities, workshops, and events aimed at removing barriers and supporting families in their educational journey. Communication: Maintain effective two-way communication via newsletters, social media, and other channels to keep families informed and involved. Community Building: Establish programs like parent ambassador schemes and support networks to build a cohesive, supportive community for families. Professional Development: Deliver training and provide resources for staff on effective family engagementstrategies. Administrative Support: Provide coordination and management for various operational aspects, including transport, safeguarding meetings, and communications systems. Person Specification Essential Qualifications and Experience: GCSEs A-C (or equivalent) including English and Maths. Proven experience working with families, children, and multidisciplinary teams. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proactive and empathetic approach. Competent in using ICT systems and social media platforms for communication and promotion. Desirable Skills and Experience: Further qualifications in education, communication, or social care. Knowledge of safeguarding practices (Level 3 or higher desirable). Experience working with children with complex needs, including mental health, behavioral, or social challenges. Familiarity with multi-agency collaboration and support systems.
