Job field / Job profile :Manufacture assembly and repair/Production/ repair manager Employment type :Permanent Position description : In the UK, Safran Seats specialises solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales and Brackley, England.The purpose of this role is to support the company-wide strategic and business plans, ensuring all actions and initiatives are geared towards meeting the goals outlined in the business plan. To effectively develop, deploy, and deliver upon a strategic plan that aligns with and enhances the company's overall strategic and business plans. You will be fully accountable for developing and improving internal supply chain processes and fostering collaboration among cross-functional teams to ensure the business plan is achieved in its entirety. Seek opportunities for continuous improvement in theproduction system, supply chain processes and team collaboration to drive business success. Key Responsibilities will include:  Plan and monitor daily business operations to ensure smooth progress.  Lead cross-functional teams, including production, planning, machine maintenance, programming, and engineering, towards common goals, while providing constructive feedback.  Regularly evaluate the efficiency of business procedures in line with organizational objectives and implement improvements.  Oversee customer support processes and organize efforts to enhance customer satisfaction.  Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to enhance profitability  Revise or develop plant procedures and promote their implementation.  Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders  Evaluate overall plant performance by gathering, analysing, and interpreting data and metrics.  Ensure that the plant operates legally and conforms to established regulations This role is subject to pre-employment checks, including but not limited to criminal record checks. Only candidates who successfully pass these checks will be considered for employment Educated to degree level (preferably Masters) in a relevant engineering /manufacturing discipline or equivalent NVQ Level 7 qualification/ experience.Demonstrable experience of leading and developing a production team and function with a proven track record in strategic manufacturing leadershipdelivering effective manufacturing strategies, policies, processes and systems.Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements.Proven build quality experience.Experience of operating and influencing at a strategic level.Knowledge and technical understanding of aerospace processes, and manufacturing techniques.No candidate will meet every single desired qualification.
