Mobile HGV Technician / Field Service Engineer Vacancy Location: Clydeside Day shift: Monday to Friday 45 hours per week, between the hours of 07:30– 17:00, 9 hours per day. Salary: £43,000 Permanent position I’m currently working with and on behalf of my client to secure a qualified, highly skilled and motivated HGV Technician for a mobile role covering the Clydeside area. We are looking for qualified and time served HGVTechnicians who can demonstrate a thorough understanding of commercial vehicle mechanical dynamics. You can expect to be situated in a positive and vibrant working environment where your efforts will be rewarded. A skills shortage can be trained by way of upskilling. What cannot be trained howeveris the right attitude and the desire to give your clients a first-class service. You will be carrying out inspections to a varied and diverse fleet. You could be working on main dealer heavy goods vehicles (HGV’s) road tankers, gritters, RCV’s Refuge vehicles, Diesel and EV vehicles. The type of work you can expect to be carrying out includes (but is not limited to) * Routine (and preventative) maintenance * MOT preparation * Scheduled servicing to DVSA standards * 6 (or 8) weekly inspections * Correction of running defects * Chassis and fabrication work * Hydraulics and pneumatics * Improvement of vehicle standards * Electrical and wiring inspections and corrections Requirements: Ideally you will be fully qualified (City&Guilds), NVQ or equivalent.
