We Build Recruitment are on the lookout for a Site Manager based in either England, Wales or Scotland to join an already established and growing fitout contractor who specialise in retail fitouts with multiple contracts already lined up for the rest of the year. Projects include a mixture of shops, supermarkets, retails parks etc and can be anywhere within the 3 nations above so it's imperative that you're willing to travel. On the subject of travel, they will always try to ensure you return home every weekend. However as an absolute maximum, you'd never be away from home for more than 12 days at a time. The salary is negotiable and dependant on experience. The range for this position is roughly£50-£55,000 but should you meet exceed expectations, then it’s still worth having a conversation about more. Naturally it comes with a van, fuel card and expenses etc given there's the expectation to travel. Job Role: * Ensure Health&Safety standards are being upheld at all times * Liaise with external stakeholders, subcontractors and consultants. * Lead weekly progress meetings and producing the required timeline of works / action points. * Subcontractor management to ensure projects are delivered on time and compliant. * Supervises and ensures that all construction work under their control is built in accordance with the programme of works. * Ensures effective control of subcontractors in maintaining all necessary quality control checks to ensure the required standard by complying with the relevant specification and working practices. * Prepares schedules of defects and ensures completion in accordance with programme.
