Our client based in Manchester have. great opportunity for a Product/Trading Manager looking after all interior products. You will be the person responsible for defining the why, when, and what the Core product offer is to meet business demands. Leading cross-functional teams from a product's conception through to its launch providing all the necessary assets to go straight to market. You will guide the success of a product and/or range by setting the strategy, roadmap, and feature definition. The Opportunity - Deep product expertise is needed to lead the organisation and make strategic product decisions. Analysing market and competitive conditions, laying out a product vision that is differentiated and delivers unique value based on customer demands.·Ensure we maintain a compelling product offer, reflective of the brand values. Bringing newness and innovation in line with the requirements of the clientele, per audience/channel. ·Responsible for the ongoing development of the product strategy including critical path management, delivery of the financial performance of the department inclusive of current and future sales, margin and service and stock targets. ·Review the current furniture&accessory ranges, identifying duplicates, gaps, and potential for development to provide a compelling product offer, noting successful Project lines.Focus on improving lead times, quality and product margin.·Responsible for managing newness, sourcing, ALL product assets/content and data, managing supplier relationships and onboarding new suppliers for our Core product range. ·Deliver meaningful and complete products to Marketing that can immediately be presented to the target audience(s), ensuring the website is always accurate and up to date and reflective of the current stock availability, pricing and descriptions for the designated revenue channel. ·Understand our current departmental requirements and frustrations from a product perspective. ·Manage and enforce the Preferred Supplier List. ·Work alongside our B&M Director to help measure supplier performance, identifying risks within the current supply chain.·Manage excess stock sales, special offers and discounts, seasonally. ·Implement a product training program for our purchasing, sales, and marketing teams, to build confidence in the products we sell. ·Responsible for tracking the results of product performance per channel, geographically. ·Assess both risks and commercial opportunities for the business. ·Actively collate competitor pricing information monthly to ensure the business remains competitive. ·Deliver quarterly market research reports on competitors within the property, contract&retail space, identifying missing products from our range.·Assist with delivering digital assets that help build brand equity within the interior design space. Develop processes to help improve departmental output&effective cross-functional communication. our About you- * Proven experience in a Buying/Product role within the Furniture industry. * Exceptional skills in managing a heavy workload and conflicting demands, whilst consistently producing high-quality work to tight deadlines. * Experience liaising with colleagues from operational to senior director level. * First-class communication skills, personal confidence, and the ability to influence others * Intermediate to advanced Word, Excel and MS Windows applications. * Knowledge of ERP systems is beneficial * Meticulous written and verbal communication skills All applications are dealt with in the strictest of confidence.
