Job Title: Royalty Tracker Reports to: CEO Location: London, United Kingdom/Hybrid Salary: Competitive Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Royalty Tracker to join our music publishing team. This role is responsible for tracking, analysing, and reconciling royalty income from multiple sources globally. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of music publishing rights, royalty flows, and an aptitude for working with data and financial reports. This is a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate royalty accounting and maintaining transparency with our writers and partners. Responsibilities: Monitor and track global royalty income from various collection societies, sub-publishers, DSPs, and licensees. Review and reconcile royalty statements, identifying discrepancies and underreported earnings. Maintain accurate records of song registrations, usages, and income streams in internal tracking systems. Liaise with external partners (e.g., PROs, sub-publishers, sync agents) to resolve income queries or anomalies. Work closely with the royalty processing team to ensure accurate and timely ingestion of statements. Collaborate with A&R admin, copyright, and finance teams to verify song data and metadata alignment. If required support audits by compiling data and documentation as needed. Monitor trends and patterns in income to flag inconsistencies or opportunities for recovery. Requirements: 2+ years of experience in royalty tracking, music publishing, rights management, or a related field. Strong knowledge of music publishing rights, including performance, mechanical, and sync royalties. Experience working with royalty software (e.g., Vistex, Counterpoint, Synchtank, etc.) is a plus. Proficiency in Excel and data analysis (pivot tables, lookups, basic formulas). Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to interpret and analyse complex royalty statements and data files. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Familiarity with global collection societies (e.g., PRS, ASCAP, BMI, SACEM, etc.). Experience in tracking sync income and cue sheets. Understanding of digital streaming platforms and how royalties are calculated.
