A day in the life of a Murphy Land Manager
Manage all land agreements, permissions, and consents required for the project.
Negotiate and secure land access rights for all project phases, ensuring compliance with Scottish land law.
Collaborate with legal teams and land agents to ensure all agreements meet project and regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with landowners, tenants, and key stakeholders.
Act as the primary point of contact for land-related negotiations and communications.
Address and resolve any concerns or disputes in a professional and timely manner.
Ensure all land management activities comply with relevant legislation, project requirements, and Murphy standards.
Mitigate risks related to land access, including delays, legal challenges, and community relations issues.
Work closely with the project delivery team to ensure land access aligns with project timelines.
Maintain detailed records of agreements, negotiations, and communications.
Provide regular progress updates and reports to the project leadership team.
Identify, notify, and manage changes to land agreements in line with contract requirements.

Experience in land management, negotiations, and stakeholder relations in large infrastructure projects.
Knowledge of Scottish land law, including servitudes, wayleaves, and easements.
Ability to manage complex land access negotiations and agreements.
Communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Membership with professional bodies such as RICS or CAAV etc. is desirable
Working knowledge of NEC contracts and CDMregulations.
