Head of Insight, talkSPORT, London The Wireless Group (GB) is one of the largest radio groups in the UK, with market leading local stations and the UK’s leading sports radio station, talkSPORT and weekly sports magazine, Sport. In March 2016 the portfolio will increase to include talkSPORT 2, talkRADIO and Virgin Radio. We currently have a vacancy for the role of Head of Insight based at our talkSPORT office in London. The main purpose of the role is to support the sales departments by providing useful and relevant information to help generate revenue, by providing insight into programming and editorial through extensive analysis of audiences. In addition the role will require management of other analysts within the department. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience in a research role, preferably within the media environment and have an interest in media/sport/music radio. In addition, they will be highly numerate and have a understanding of statistics; experience of using research tools such as TGI and NMR, RAJAR as well as an understanding of other media currencies such as NRS, ABC, comScore is highly desirable Good organisational skills, time management and communication skills are essential for this role, as well as a good/advance knowledge of Powerpoint and Excel. We are looking for a forward thinking individual that has a proven track record of delivering insight projects and is able to formulate a research plan for the business.
