We are looking for an experienced Graphic Designer to join our in-house creative team. The role is a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave on a 3 day a week basis. Days to suit you and your current responsibilities. (Initial contract for six months with possible extension for another six months.) As a key member of the design studio, you will work closely with our Associate Director of Communications and one other in-house designer to uphold and evolve the visual identity of the IPA and its associated brands, including TouchPoints, Advertising Unlocked, and more. You will play a critical role as a brand guardian, ensuring design excellence across all outputs, from print to digital, and contributing to our visual strategy. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and enforce the IPA brand identity, as well as associated partner brands, ensuring consistency and quality across all media. • Collaborate with both internal teams and external clients to manage design projects from concept to completion. • Produce a variety of creative materials, including advertising, promotional designs, social media assets, reports, and event photography. • Take briefs from various IPA departments such as Communications, Marketing, Finance, Legal& Public Affairs, Media Affairs, and others, ensuring all design deliverables meet internal and external expectations. • Create and edit complex charts, infographics, illustrations, and annual reports. • Design both static and animated social media content, and repurpose existing artwork for use across email, print, web, and social media platforms. • Perform photography duties for internal events, interviews, and marketing materials as needed. • Manage image resizing, photo retouching, podcast, and video editing. • Oversee workflow via Microsoft Outlook job tracking system, coordinating tasks to meet deadlines. Skills& Expertise: Proficiency across Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premier Pro) and Microsoft Office. • Strong knowledge of print and digital production, with an ability to create high-quality, scalable designs for multiple platforms. • Photography skills, with experience in both event coverage and portrait shoots. • Excellent understanding of layout, typography, colour theory, and image manipulation. • Experience with video and podcast editing is a plus. Personal Attributes: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and communicate ideas with confidence. • A team player with a proactive approach, capable of taking creative direction as well as offering independent input. • Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure to meet deadlines. • A meticulous eye for detail, with a focus on ensuring all deliverables adhere to brand guidelines and proofing standards. • Problem-solving mindset, able to tackle technical challenges and implement solutions efficiently. • Flexible and adaptable, willing to take on varied tasks in a fast-paced environment.
