Are you an experienced procurement professional with public sector experience, looking to contribute to the operational excellence of one of the UK’s most renowned cultural institutions? Value Match are seeking an Interim Contracts and Procurement Advisor to provide expert advice and support on procurement and contracting, ensuring compliance, best practice, and maximum value for money. The role is working for one of our central London based clients.
The Role
As the Interim Contracts and Procurement Advisor, you will play a pivotal rolein supporting the Company’s operations by providing high-quality contract and procurement services. Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will review and improve the procurement processes, ensuring they are efficient, fit-for-purpose, and in line with the latest regulations,including the upcoming Procurement Act changes.
You will provide strategic guidance to Gallery staff on contract management, procurement strategies, and risk management while promoting best practices in social value, sustainability, and diversity. Additionally, you will oversee the development ofa new procurement policy and support the Gallery's staff by delivering training sessions to improve procurement skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review and enhance procurement and contract management processes.
* Support the development and implementation of a new procurement policy.
* Advise on and assist with commercial contracts, ensuring they align with best practices and legal requirements.
* Lead complex tender processes and ensure compliance with UK procurement regulations.
* Maximize value for money while maintaining a focus on sustainability and diversity.
* Establish and maintain an electronic contract database for the Gallery.
* Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

About You
To excel in this role, you should possess:
* Extensive experience in procurement and contract management, ideally within both the public and private sectors.
* Strong knowledge of UK public sector procurement regulations and best practices.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* A proactive and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
* A commitment to promoting diversity, sustainability, and value for money in all procurement activities.
* Ideally you will hold a CRB
Being a member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) or holding equivalent qualifications will be advantageous.Why Join Us?
