The Leader in Training role is designed to immerse the individual for 3-4 years in the life of the local church while pursuing rigorous theological education. The aim is to equip men for pastoral leadership through hands-on ministry experience, mentorship, and formal education. The role includes the following objectives: Faithfully preach and teach God’s Word in a variety of situations. Shepherd and provide pastoral care to the congregation. Lead and participate in worship services, small groups and prayer gatherings. Engage in evangelism and equip others for mission. Nurture and develop spiritual gifts for future service in ministry. Develop a heart for strategic leadership and church growth. OVERSIGHT AND DELIVERY The Leader in Training will report to members of the pastoral team and elders. Oversight will include mentorship by pastoral staff, regular evaluations, and collaborative ministry planning. Elders will provide prayerful and practical support to ensure alignment with church vision and theological standards.
