Infrastructure Engineer
Location: UK Remote (Home Based)
Salary: Circa£40k + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
Job Type: Full Time, Occasional Travel
The Client:
Our client is a reputable provider and developer of a Wealth Management Platform serving the financial services sector. They have a diverse clientele spanning the UK and Europe.
The Role:
As an InfrastructureEngineer, you will provide IT support to both customers and internal users, enhancing hardware and software IT systems.
Duties:
Install and set up software and hardware
Administer network servers and technology tools
Configure accounts and workstations
Oversee system performance and maintenance
Diagnose and resolve issues and outages
Implement security measures, backups, and firewalls
Upgrade systems with the latest versions
Maintain internal documentation and policies
Collaborate with teams on IT project progress
Assist in IT project execution
Identify and fix performance problems
Mentor and train future system administrators
Requirements:
Essential:
Previously worked as a Infrastructure Engineer or in a similar role.
Skilled in administering Microsoft Server and Client Products including O365
Knowledge and experience with Networking technologies
Experience with Windows server operating system, ADDS, DNS, DHCP, and GPO
Desirable:
AWS and networking experience
Familiarity with Linux-based systems
Skilled in overseeing Windows server platform, installation, migration, and maintenance
Experience with virtualisation technology VMware vSphere
Ability to manage backup solutionslike Commvault and Veeam
Experience provisioning Windows and Linux on VMs on VMware Hyper-V
Knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite, admin centres, and PowerShell scripting
Experience with antivirus software
