Title: HR Manager Salary: Dependent on experience Working hours: Monday - Thursday 8:30am– 5:00pm and Friday 8:30am – 1:30pm Location: Loughborough, Leicestershire VH Talent is delighted to be working in partnership with our client, a global engineering organisation to appoint an experienced HR Manager to lead all HR activities, including: Employee Relations, Employee Engagement,Legislation/Compliancy, L&D and wider business projects. Operating strategically, leading the HR Team and working collaboratively with the wider management teams, the successful candidate will operate with Senior Leadership and play an instrumental role in driving the business forward. The HR Manager Role: * Oversee all HR activities across site(s), promoting a continuous improvement ethos to empower, engage and developthe workforce * Manage a team of HR personnel to ensure the department and wider business objectives are being achieved * Ensure all HR Policies, Corporate EEO/AAP policies, Legislations, Laws and Practices are monitored, updated and being adhered to * Work collaboratively and strategically with Senior Stakeholders to ensure deliverables are achieved * Orchestrate and manage projects within a trade unionised environment, including (but not restricted to) restructure programmes, change agendas, post TUPE / acquisition activities * Work collaboratively with Divisional and Line Managers to support their departments. Also evaluate, develop, design and implement Divisional training initiatives * Support with various programs for H&S, Divisional, Recruitment and Training * Evaluate performance to identify opportunities for coaching and training * Manage the departmental budget and develop the business plan * Some travel may be occasionally required as part of the role You’ll Need: * A degree or equivalent within HR is highly desirable * Previous experience of overseeing HR across multiple sites would be advantageous * Excellent understanding of HR legislations, laws, processes and practices * Experienced in managing multiple projects and ensuring milestones are achieved * Able to motivate, influence and lead team(s) * Highly experienced in managing ER, providing solutions, casework and disciplinary management * Good interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive information with diplomacy and empathy whilst ensuring high levels of confidentiality * Previously operated alongside Senior Stakeholders and able to provide innovative ideas, operate strategically and support the wider teams * Confident in presenting to small and large teams * Able to multitask, prioritise and operate in a calm and professional manner* Ensuring the department and wider organisation are working to the company’s objectives whilst striving for continuous improvement * Proficient in Microsoft packages and able to learn new systems with ease What’s in it for you: * Performance related bonus * Income Protection * Pension Scheme offers up to 10% company contribution * Employee discounts on various services and goods * Training and development opportunities * 33 Days annual leave (including Bank Holidays) * Buying and selling scheme of holidays * Being part of an organisation that rewards successand advocates employee appreciation VH Talent, your Permanent and FTC Recruitment
