Location: Berkshire Independent Hospital, Reading
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Full-time
Salary: Depending on experience + Benefits
Summary:
The Berkshire Independent Hospital is one of Berkshire’s leading private hospitals with an excellent reputation for delivering high quality healthcare, treatments and services. The hospital, built in 1993, has 43 individual patient rooms all with en suite facilities. By investing in advanced medical technology, the hospital offers a wide range of treatments and services. The three fully equipped theatres with a seven-bedded recovery area are particularly suitable for orthopaedic procedures offered, such as arthroscopy, hip and knee replacement, spinal discectomy. A dedicated day surgery suite is suitable for minor surgery and endoscopy.
The role:
We currently had a great opportunity for an Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Berkshire Independent Hospital, based in Reading.
We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated team leader of the hospital’s housekeeping team.
As the Housekeeping Team Leader you will have great communication and interpersonal skills and will be able to demonstrate a broad experience in the cleaning sector within a healthcare setting, hotel or similar environment. You will take an active part in the team completing rotas and staff records. You will be responsible for completing training and audits/inspections to ensure we meet and exceed expectations, to drive constant development and improvement.
Consideration will be taken for candidates who show the necessary qualities for this role. The Housekeeping Team Leader will oversee the cleaning standards of patient rooms, clinical and publicareas throughout the Hospital.
You will supervise the day-day activities of the Housekeepers, whilst training and developing the team’s skills and knowledge to ensure that high cleaning standards are met inline with the clinical expectations.
Key duties:
Supervision, training and development of Housekeeping team
Staff rostering, induction and PDRs and absence management
Conduct training sessions with the housekeeping team to include COSHH, Isolation/MRSA cleaning, Equipment handling, Health&Safety
To undertake hospital cleanliness audits with department leads and implement any actions with the team
Ability to multi-task
Overseeing and ordering of cleaning supplies and equipment as requiredBenefits:
